One handed weapons

For whm and blm. Why do we have them?! They are a relic of the past and should be discarded. Can't glamour them, can't use them. Such a waste.

Because there is someone out there who will inevitably ask the same question in reverse and want to use a wand and shield.

Yup. I like using a wand and shield!

I don't mind the lower level stuff having one-handed but when you get to things like primal weapons and end game weapons, then I have an issue. I would love the Malevolent Moggle weapon to glamour but it is one hand weapon...

Well it's a good thing new one-handed whm and blm weapons haven't been released since March 2014 then.

Yeah I know what you mean, you get 1 straight away and it takes you ages to get the other main/off Hand.


@Op na what you should really be asking is how come 2 Handed weapons can be held with 1 HAND!

They were some of the best weapons in 1.0, and still obtainable at this point. I like them, and wish to see more of them. If anything so I can glamour my mog wand. :)

An issue with the glamour system more than anything else... Were the glamour system competent there would be no reason we couldn't glamour a mog wand over a staff, or use Herklaedi at all...

I would like to see a hammer and shield for my WHM going really old school, I have always preferred 1hr weapons as I get a little more pseudo stat customization with this model. I can chose a different shield or weapon based on the encounter and mix / match stats. It is a pseudo customization feel as I am just swapping around different static stats but some pieces favor more mana vs crit vs whatever which might make for feeling like I have an actual choice in the gear I am bringing to an encounter.

But you can glamour a 1-handed weapon onto a 2-handed weapon. You just can't equip a shield as well.
