Question regarding MNK's TP on Fcob

I've been in Final Coils for about a month, and passed t10-t12
but now I'm starting to wonder how most people manage their TP on Fcob?
my TP always goes dry after 3-4 mins of fight and need BRD to fill them up but when I rolled in PUG group by using BRD, most of people don't even ask for army's paeon (ninja/dragoon never ask for it. monk just ask sometimes but like once in a whole fight while I need army's paeon twice)
about my rotation, I only apply DoT once they reach 2-3 seconds and dragonkick/twinsnake only when needed.

And my skillspeed from items are only 44 points and with 3 GL I use weaponskills once every 2.04 seconds or so

Army's Paeon.

I play NIN as my main for FCoB and my group does really good DPS, even the tanks ask for Army's Paeon.

I pug as my BRD and watch as everyone is at full TP whilst I am running out. Some players are slow at using their skills and disengage a lot. If you are running out of TP in between 3-4 minutes, you are doing it right.

Could just ask the bard for paeon? If I pug I tell melees to let me know when they need paeon so I don't sing for just myself, and I don't know when random people run out, only when my static does lol

It also depends how quickly you're killing things. I.e: when I first started doing t12 I had to Paeon during phase 2 because I was running dry, but now (when we push 4 Bennus), I can wait until the add phase. T10 t11 is non negotiable, I have to Paeon at least twice in those fights due to the 100% uptime. Also a Monk should be tp starved around the 4 30 mark, depending on gear.

Huh, really? I paeon once in t10 and 11, out of habit once in t12 even though we push 4 bennus and never in t13.

Either your tanks are extremely slow/ not pushing dps or you are leaving them TP starved.

MNK/NIN and BRD will all run out of TP at most at the 3:30~ mark if they are playing their class properly but if they have to much SKS they could be burnt out at the 3 minute mark.


You could dodge mechanics in a way that require disengagement though.

Fair enough on tanks, I've told them to let me know when they need tp, and yet no requests from them. And they do put out respectable dps, so idk. Really I sing Paeon when requested, and it's requested once each battle by our NIN, so I don't leave people starved unless they don't let me know when they want things.

Alright, thanks for the answers! I was really depressed with relying on BRD almost all the time to keep up my dps while dropping theirs.
If it's perfectly normal to empty my tp bar to deal maximum damage while the rest don't need music but they aren't doing their job properly then alright, I shall keep it going!

You could maybe get away with one Paeon in t12 if your dps staggers their gcds, but the whole transition from adds to the final phase can leave most dps below half tp, which will cause problems. Honestly it depends on your composition, and whether it's worth using Paeon on one dps or putting up foe for multiple casters (including your scholar). T10 and 11 has too much uptime, there's no way you will not be starved towards the the 50% mark, probably even sooner. Once again, these issues will become fewer and far between as dps starts pushing phases quicker.

Our BRD typically figures out when we need TP and plays it around the same time every fight. Having personally watched peoples TP and how they fall/rise, our tanks - Especially the PLD burn through TP incredibly fast. As the Ninja in my group both me and the MNK typically asks for TP at the same time, but again we don't really have to request it because our BRD has a good feel for when we need it. With the nerfs to Ninja TP usage, I just use Goad to sustain the PLD or WAR depending on who is dealing with what mechanics.
