Anyone else do this? I bought a copy of the ps4 version and downloaded it, because I didn't know you could transfer a character and upgrade to ps4 for free and now don't know what to do. Is there a way I can do it on the ps4 or do I have to have my PS3?
Your characters not stored on your system, you just log into your account on whatever system you have a license for and can continue playing. Unless you talking about the cross bar which I'm not sure about how that goes, I just set up a new cross bar.

All I have to say is I have had nothing but problems, of course I have to be difficult anyway. I wanted to play the same character on both ps3 and ps4 so I bought a 3rd copy (yes 3rd, i love this game) and tried to load it. It would not take my SE account tied to that character. SOOOO.....i tried the transfer, but because I already put the code in for the new game, it would not accept the transfer code. So now, I can't play on either system. I am not starting over. Bump that. I submitted a ticket to ffxiv, hopefully they can do something, otherwise I will be leaving the world of Eorzea and taking my 300 days with it, lol.
