NIN dps in T12

Hi everyone. My static is working on T12, and I think I'm underperforming with my dps so far. Granted we're still working on learning the turn, and it should get better once we're good on everything, but currently the average is somewhere in the low 400s, I'd say anywhere in the 400-430s range. And I had 445 as my highest on the last night. That's without potions so far. Sometimes I have to help a little with Bennus (we try to leave it to the ranged), and our WAR is getting used to things, so Eye isn't currently kept up consistently.

So where should I be in dps? How high should I be for the full turn once we're clearing? And any general or specific advice for T12? I feel like helping with Bennus especially makes my dots and debuff drop and just kills me. Thanks in advance :)

I as a Drg iLvl 120 + Longinus do about 480 on the kills, our Ninja does about 450.

450+ is respectable dps if you're pushing 4 Bennus. Your dps will most likely drop in the last phase if you're not breaking your parse between dodge phases. I don't have a Ninja in my static, but my DRG does about 480+, our monk 470+, black mage 460+ (depends how many flares he can time), and myself (bard) around 450 before adds.

What is your ilvl and your gear?

If you are in the low 400s come the Bennu phase, you may be doing something wrong. With an i115 Weapon and ilvl of i112, I was around 480~ come the end of phase 2, iirc.

If you are getting to the last phase bear in mind that each jump will lower your dps quite a bit.

Bennu phase also has some pause/break effect to it so that could easily lower your dps potentional. I typically lose a lot of DPS to the bennu phase as ninja, for whichever reason ( I don't AoE)

Kill big Bennu #1
Kill small benu #3
Move
Kill big Bennu #2
Kill small benu #4

Kill big Bennu #4

If you do it like this, you'll always have something to hit instead of sitting idle and waiting for the birds to resurrect.

I'm aware of how the Bennu's work xD. I lose DPS most likely because I lose DE for that phase and there is a pause. Also if your DPS is quick enough, like my groups. You may have to wait a bit even if you follow that pattern. I think it is also important to note that if you have two big bennu's up they will take reduced damage.

The NIN in my static pulls around 475-500 depending on the fight.

I am the ninja in my static, and with augmented weapon and dreadwyrm ring (RNG hates me this patch) I'm doing 450 minimum, up towards near 500 most fights end. So what he said.

In t12 I do about 540 in the first two phases, then I drop from all the moving in add phase (we pretty consistently have 5 bennu because of our dumb red fire strat and... issues). I ended the fight with 415 dps tonight but I had a death in the last phase, otherwise it'd have been 450 or so. Our DRG did 464 for reference, and usually he and I are neck in neck for dps except I do most of the LBing. Not sure if the timer's still ticking during the plume phase though, so it might be lowering what it says we do compared to other people's numbers.

I did about 480 the 2 other kills, dunno why DPS so low this week, maybe not enough healer boots.
