Winebaud's riddle
Just wondering, how many of you solved it without using walkthroughs or getting help from friends? What do you think about the difficulty, was it easy or challenging?
I gave up halfway through, even finding places was a huge struggle because I rarely ever remember the names of locations.

I was able to do most of it without looking it up. Though, when I went and did this quest on my Behemoth character I was like "Forget it, I'm looking it all up. Doing it the other way the first time was enough."
-
My boyfriend and I did it together. It was a pretty fun quest, unfortunate that there was no small reward at the end but it was good times. He did most of the work, I just helped with what I knew. He's got a lore encyclopedia inside his head so we never had to look anything up, but a lot of the locations are hard to remember if you haven't explored Eorzea enough. Hopefully we get another installment but I dunno how well received the quest was. One of the later parts was pretty tricky to decipher so I can see why people would've given up.

Funny enough, I had the quest for the longest time, then I talked to a random NPC at "undisclosed location" and conveniently finished the quest >.>;... I actually haven't handed it in because I'm going to reset it and start anew as I haven't really put any time into it and I WANT to solve it. lol.

Me and a friend did a majority of it ourselves except for one part that was some sort of cryptogram or something. We beat our heads against a wall, blowing through scratch paper like crazy trying to figure it out. Eventually we threw in the towel and had to look it up. Otherwise we completed everything else and had a fun time doing it.

I came across the quest at some point and just went to look it up. I like puzzles and all, but it was a little too much for an MMO. Mine also seems to be busted, since I can't progress past the first stage. I'm definitely talking to the right person.

A friend and I solved the puzzles together. We had a lot of fun with it. I love puzzles, and I thought the quest was great. I would love it if they did something like this again.

some of the puzzles are kinda fun like Sword + Sword = Dagger
so sword would be a numerical code to add into dagger which means it has to be big enough to be added to itself and not go over 6 digits
knowing this with the list you have to ignore repeated letters and list them out unison the number below you can list them up
S W O R D A G E
S-W-O-R-D
7-8-3-2-1
D-A-G-G-E-R
1-5-6-6-4-2
once you have the numbers added in you just follow the X of X hint and its simple. o3o i just found it a fun brain teaser :D
