lag...lag...dc...dc and more dc and lag

hi, i ve been having some troubles with disconecction and lag since this last month.
here are some of my observations:
1) first, i made a ping to ff xiv (with n 100) to find that 67 packets were received and 33 were lost, this only happens with ff xiv, if i ping google or any other mmorpg, results are normal (100% received), so i dont think is a problem with my conecction.
2) sometimes game works just fine but seems that depending the hour, it becomes worse or better (at some hours, the ping gives me only 2 or 1 packet loss and at some hours it gives me like 30 packets lost).
3) could it be the ddos? (dont know if they were fixed).
i would just like to know if this is being adressed or if at least is server side or a isp problem.

Are you using a wireless connection? I had lots of lagging issues on wireless (and I do have a rather good wireless router) and the distance is only like 10 feet between the two. As soon as I hooked it up with a wire, I've not had but rare issues with lag, and not that many disconnects.

Not surprised at all I too struggle with constant lag and dc I've had enough with 90k error spam , think I dc 45 times today ...been like this 3 weeks .
I thought Vpn could help but didn't last long , can't play the bloody game at all , I've had enough honestly "it's your isp problem , it's your problem it's never se end" se chat sure is helpful .

Pretty much stopped trying with this crap dc yet other game I have zero dc and no connection problems ...sad but oh well :/

its a wired connection, plus if the problem were the router, wouldnt i have problems on any game i play or ping that i do? strange thing is, this started happening since patch 2.4 or the ddos, i dont remember the dates of each, but they both happened around the same time, so its hard to tell from where comes the problem if its server side.
