Inns are now pointless
Been meaning to comment on this for a while and there's no specific Inn thread.
I think SE made the inns useless, other than aestheticians. Rested exp in towns and outposts is dumb considering that was the point of the inn.
Perhaps they should give us double rested exp if we log out via our personal house, FC room, FC bedding, or inn room? Or simply take away rested town exp all together.
I realize people probably like the resting in a town or outpost but they made logging out via the inn pointless.

And that offends you because...? You own stock in the Quicksand?
-
You forgot we can watch old Cs there if we want and store old AF/ special, event gear without using retainer inv

Inns are more reserved for players fresh to the game whom definitely do not own a private home and may not be part of a FC which does. I see no issue in this, and would like to see houses become more and more convenient as time goes on.
-
Yup never mind the amoire, ability to watch previously viewed/skipped cutscenes, the aesthetician, and the available minigames. What was SE thinking? Probably PS3 limitations right?
-
Inns SHOULD be pointless for anyone who actually owns a home. Do you regularly stay at a hotel overnight just because?
-
Believe it or not there are a lot of characters with no house or fc house. Those characters use the inn for armoir, book, aesthetician, I even like to use it sometimes to see the old sleep animation for log out/in. Just because YOU dont use all the options in game does not mean they should get rid of them or overhaul them.
-
I think the point was missed.

You're absolutely right good sir, we need a cutscene book and barber npc for houses!
I also want to be able to sleep in my bed to log. When I found out I couldn't I turned my private room into a 30 seat classroom.Instead.

Inns weren't a good feature to begin with, perhaps they'll sooner or later relocate the aesthetician bell and get rid of the remaining inns. The current rested exp areas are just fine and a lot more accessible than occasionally having to go "DARN, forgot to log off in an inn"
