Asking for an artwork

Hi there everybody :D I'm a girl who doesn't write very much, but I need a help for a (probably silly) question.

Me and my bf both play this game, and we are about to reach our 6th year of a... long distance relationship. It's a hard way to live our love, with people mocking us and blah blah, but we keep going on and luckily little things like playing this game together help us to feel a bit closer to each other.

So, the point is: I really love Akihiko Yoshida's artworks, he' one of my favourite artists at all, and my idea is to give my bf an original Yoshida's work, possibly with our 2 Lalas as subject.

I know that he's totally not the artist of the next door, that he's a professional artist and I assume he doesn't make commissions, but does someone know, or imagine, how could I contact him or his manager/office? Obviously I'll pay the price needed, but I think that money is my last problem here :p

I think I have an answer for you. I commissioned this artist a while back because he does art similar to the title art. I also did it for my fiance, so I think this will workf or you.

His pieces of art are really amazing O.o But I'd like to give my bf something original >< Still, if I won't find a way to contact Yoshida, I think I'll ask this guy :) Really thank tou :D

Not to be mean or anything but I think artists on the payroll are obligated not to create art willy nilly for others. Things like keeping an original look are hard when the art in your stuff can be seen anywhere in anything, you know?

Yes, but I think it's like when meeting, for example, a comic author.
They don't sell their art to everyone, but if you find them on a convention or something, they can make you a drawing.
Similarly, some of them make some simple sketches to people that write them, and so on.
This can be a huge simplification of the reality, but I know that there's a way to get in touch with some of them. What I'm trying to know is if mr. Yoshida is one of those people, nothing else.

Yea, im gonna have to agree with the guy above me. While I understand your desire to give him something from the renowned artist himself, you're kind of being a bit unreasonable.. There's almost no way one could go about getting Yoshida-San to create a drawing exclusively, for you.. It's almost silly to think so. And you stated that you wanted something original. Well the link above, that artists does original sketches/drawings. And they look amazing. There's ton of originality when it comes to an artist and his passion.

Look, just find a really good artist and place a special request. Because with this goose chase, you're kind of setting yourself up for failure. And if your bf loves you, he will understand and probably prefer that you don't waste your time trying to contest But if money isn't an issue, maybe you should have went to Japan for the FanFest and made a personal request then and there. Not being mean, just saying.. :-/

Well it is true that artists at conventions do sketches and stuff. It isn't totally hopeless.
