Finished the ixal beastman storyline a while ago but haven't done their daily since. Tried to do them again just now because I wanted the oaknots and...I can't craft the hand in items with the i70 gloves I unlocked from the ixals!? I have to use the old ehcatl gloves again and waste my hands armory slots?

The highest level for those quests are level 16 crafters. You do not need those gloves. I have no trouble with those quests.

yeah it's a mild annoyance but I found that any lvl 50 crafter can reliably HQ ixali quest items (hardest of which would be Highwin in Ishgard) with just HQ AF gears.

This was brought up before, it got addressed in a sort of "durrhurr, we somehow never counted on people complaining about this, but we'll maybe do something about it" sort of way, and then it was never heard of again. If it is any sort of priority for them, it's a very low one.

Yeah this is a matter of principle that they should work, and merely a matter of inventory -1 that they don't. It would be nice and completely not game-breaking if it was changed.

agreed, the i70 gloves should be usable to craft the daily quest items. They offer no real advantage in actually making the items, you can't get the gloves until you're already maxed out in reputation. Why make us waste an armory slot keeping the lvl 1 version around?
