So after the update i tried to log into the game log in was fine but when the game started to load i got a black screen and it minimized it's self to the taskbar so i clicked on it the window expands but it is blank and after a second or two re-minimizes it's self to the task bar, i can hear the beginig movie in the back ground but no video and, if i try to open it the game freezes.

It sounds very strange but have you tried changing your login password?
I had similar issues and a password renewal solved them
Rebooted more then once, also updated my video card drivers to make sure that was not an issue, i'll give the password thing a shot but i'm not so sure.
I had to wait a long time before the black screen went and the game started. I guessed the virus scanner was checking it.
I found the answer i had Creative cloud running in the back ground and it was interrupting something with the game.
