Grindus Weapon
Just to kill some time, I'd like know how you felt about the relic weapon questchains.
1) Done it all until the very end (so far)!
2) Progressing it and want go to the end!
3) Stopped at some point (say which one ;) )
4) Never cared, usind dropped/tomes ones
5) Anything other.
About, me:
3) I stopped at the books stage. I feel them so grindy I really have aborted any willing to go ahead at the point that I dunno if return to it, even if that part will be eased in the future.
So now I go for dropped/tomes weapons and no care relic anymore.
Share your feelings

2) Progressing it and want go to the end!
I find this the case with most players of more than 8-year playing time.
It's the weapon that in some cases ( I know some Ninjas and super hardcore people have managed their Relics in shorter time) will be the only thing to resemble a long playing stance. Who knows a year from now the line will still be going and all the new players will see that weapon and be like wow this guy/girl has been a vet lol Idk I look at it that way. Besides you know the weapon is always goign to get better rather than ''grinding'' countless coil hours to obtain a weapon that will be outdated in 2-months time or on par with a weapon you can obtain from a few quest.
Some players are still trying to progress their T9 weapon after 30+ clears.....While those who just grinded relic are like i115 or 125 now.

Base relic/Zenith: Super easy and completely forgettable.
Atma: Some areas were really stingy about the drop rates, but looking back it didn't really take all that long to get all the atma. (I finished 2 sets prenerf)
Animus: Dumb FATE camping bull. Hated it.
Novus: Money plz, Materia $$$$
Nexus: I liked it. Spent most of it in Front lines having a nice time.
Zodiac: Aside from Hullbreaker RNG (30+ runs) and a few other dungeons(5 were 10+ runs each), not bad at all.

1) So far the relic stage for me has been a grind that has not been fun Since the first step in the quest chain. The first stage was done really well although i think it should have been Garuda, titian, and Ifirit extreme instead of the hard mode versions. I feel as the entire quest chain in just a massive time sink to re run old content and by the end of it you don't even feel like you have been rewarded or accomplished anything of note. The axe looks awesome tho and I'm super happy with it.

I choose 2.
Base: Fun! (early on it was challaneging and the quest wasn't grindy and was very varied content-wise.
Atma: I was lucky, but read the horror stories here on the forums (sorry for you bad luck players!). Personally I found it O.K. If it lasted long I'd hate it D:
Animus: It was O.K overall, it was pretty varied.
Novus: A loooot of gil needed... I didn't like it. I liked the maps though.
Nexus: ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz was boring, but it was because I decided to spam trials. It looked like it's never ending.
Zodiac: I think it's okay, varied quest, different content. I have bad luck on this one, doing a lot of runs...

So far im working my way through the nexus stage ...600 lights left on my pala....and 1300 left on my war...after that i'm gonna stop because i love the look of the nexus weapons, and i really dont wanna do the next step and lose the shiney :D ...i'll keep them as glamour weapons

Stopped at the materia melding scroll stage.
Alex maps are a pain, hard to find people to do them with.
Melding can fail ... Not going to waste gil - wasted enough overmelding crafter and gatherer gear.
Was tired of jumping through hoops.
Figured, screw it. It doesn't look that good anyway - SMN relic.

Still at Novus now getting lights but I'm on a semi-hiatus so I won't be heavy grinding on it now. Personally I think each of the relic stage progression since Atma only forces you to visit older dungeons and clear fate through and through with RNG chance you get what you want for it, each with just a unique way to progress.
Really wish they add special instances or fights instead (like those solo storyline/job battles) that actually proof we deserve the best of the relic.

Sure it's been grindy here and there (okay, a lot) but it's been worth it IMO. I'm glad it's not stupidly easy, or everyone would be running around with it at the max state as soon as they released. You have to put in some effort, but you get a nice reward out of it.
