Suggestion weight.
SE,
I posted two of the same thread (in english) in both the English and Japanese "user interface" forums.
The one in the Japanese forum got an official response in one day, and 5x as many views. The one in the English forum has had no response in almost 3. So It seems that the JP forums get more attention, and indeed more regard, when player comments are posted there.
While Im sure my post in the JP forums was ignored for being in english, I wonder:
What is the process for english (german, french) suggestions to meet the largely Japanese FFXIV development team?

I would like an official response to this question.

An official response should be coming...? Please look forward to it.

I have serious doubts I'll get an official response. Ive looked at every(!) thread in the UI forums and, on first read, I haven't seen a single english suggestion (regarding UI) go live, according to SE's own patch notes.
To be fair, I don't know if Japanese suggestions are fairing any better; I can't read Japanese.

I have long maintained that we speak / write the wrong language for the dev team to give a damn about what we have to say. You can see this by the fact that SE doesn't bother translating the letters from the producer until a day or more after they come out, instead of having a simultaneous translator available to subtitle them as they stream.

Is there a consumer protection agency that Japan gives oversight? In the US we have the BBB, the Better Business Bureau, I wonder if Japan has a similar organization that takes complaints. We are customers and we deserve a response.
