Relic Quest
My rating on the new relic quest is 3/10 (my opinion) people had a bad feedback for atma because of the RNG base. But doing it in a dungeon is ridiculous, some people get it instantly while others takes forever. I did about 40 runs of AK now i started with 450+ soldiery now i have 873 and i still don't have the item, while on the other hand i did a run with my friend for 3 runs and he got. I mean seriously the chances of getting it is a bit messed up. I don't mind everything else like the seals and soldiery etc. tbh i think that is perfectly fine.

like the silly answers that those that were affected by the same sickness complained back then and were told off or laughed at....deal with it...and yes RNG is dumb but...people found it totally normal speakiong of atmas no?...then why should it become all of a sudden less dumb because some of you have this problem NOW ?
NOthing forces you to do those...just dont do them,s hrug it off and move on, or deal with it

The quest is not that bad
I'm actually 4/19 on my items which is decent considering it was not meant to be burned through but everyday I log I see a different zodiac a so I say suck it up take the rng butt kicking.

I really hate that your progress is based on RNG in this new relic quest, but the good news is that's the only bad part about the relic quest. Everything else is smooth sailing honestly and I still can't believe they're giving us a i125 weapon for the work.
The soldiery, seals and mats required to finish the relic quest really aren't that hard to get.

Just think of it as ATMA for experts! RNG sukks, but it is what they have given us. If you wan't, wait. In time they will nerf it like they did ATMA.

The thing i hate is RNG that's why i preferred doing the nexus grind since it gives you a solid number
-
Zenith = totally deterministic
(just buy the philo/myth/soldy item and give it to the guy in north shroud)
Atma = totally random
(low chance to get an atma stone from a FATE, need 12)
Animus = mostly deterministic
(buy a book with myth/soldy and do everything that is stated one the book.
still a little RNG on the FATE spawn time and levequest being available without having to do other leve just so the leve you want shows up)
Novus = mixed
random if you want to spiritbind gear to turn into materia and hope that it gives you the materia you want.
deterministic if you buy the material or already had a huge stock of materia before it.
the alexandrite is deterministic, you get one free per day, can buy more maps with myth/soldy and even seals from hunts.
the infusion is random but starts at 100%.
Nexus = deterministic
You get N points for doing X content.
slight random aspect that the content you do may give bonus points at the time window you did it. still, you always get some points regardless.
Zodiac= mostly random
You need drops from specific dungeons in the order the quests asks you to. They may drop at your 1st run of any given dungeon, or they may not drop at all even after 20 runs.
The crafting aspect of the quest requires you to desynth items, and if these items are gonna be desynted into what you want (or into crap), it's also totally random.
Crafting itself involves some randomness unless you are using HQ materials or you are a very overgeared crafter who already suffered a lot to RNG to become a 4 star crafter (or has 4 star gear).
Again, the desynth and crafting randomness can be avoided if you buy it from the Market Board or from friends who can desynth and craft it for you.
The other items that are required cost you gil, GC seals or soldy. Totally deterministic.
