This system makes no sense what so ever to me. Why do we have to schedule our weddings like this? Why can't it be an instanced thing like the DF? Someone told me "because then everyone would have their wedding at the same time and I can only be at one place." That doesn't seem selfish to you? The people getting married have to wait because a guest can't make it? If the people getting married even cared about people attending their wedding, they wouldn't have it right away. They would pick a day that all their friends could go (a day of their choosing not a day that's just the next available day). It should be up to the people getting married when they want it, not some forced schedule. I've never played a game where you had to schedule your wedding. This isn't a real wedding...

It is really cool like this imo. I like how it is realistic and they give you a two hour time slot. Why are you so impatient? Your eternal bond items are not going to disappear.

I'm not impatient. I just to get married on a certain day and now I can't. Also I now have to plan around everyone else. And what happens if something irl happens that I need to go deal with? Now I have to reschedule around everyone else again and hope the time they give me is a time that's even playable for me and my gf.
If something in a game is paid for, especially if it's as much as these over priced weddings are, I want it to happen when I want, not when the next available time slot is. By the time I buy it this weekend, it'll be weeks before I can even get married. -

We're on the same server. I'll just say that even for it being the first day, platinum weddings didn't fill up anywhere near as fast as I expected. I think there's a decent chance you'll be able to get the time you want as long as you're there when reservations open up.
Tip: A lot of people are probably going to try to get the first days available. Try to avoid those if you can. -

And if someone brings up the whole "guest" excuse. In real life it's also possible for people to be invited to 2 different weddings at the same time - it just means they've gotta pick which one to go to.
There are too many players to be having so few weddings per week. This isn't some small upcoming mmo, FF14 has quite a lot of players already. -
