1k Character Limit & Heavy-Status

Can we please hear from a Dev on these?

These have been popularly requested since launch.

Please remove the 1k Character Limit on posting (or up it at minimum).

And please do something about Heavy-Status being inflicted from mobs as we mount past. It's just a nuisance, perhaps if the world were actually threatening somehow it would mean something. It's just one of those irritations that exist meaninglessly at the moment however.

Heavy I'm surprised hasn't been touched on yet...

You may not know, but when you edit a post you can have an unlimitted amount of characters.

I hate heavy as well, but it's fun to watch :p

The heavy was a danger more than an annoyance back in 1.0.
If mobs heavied you, they'd catch up to you, and if you didn't dismount and engage, they'd kill you.

The world was a lot more rad back then.

The 1000 char limit has been mentioned hundreds if not thousands of times before and not one single official response from SE. If I'm honest, I think you've got more chance of soloing King Behemoth than actually hearing any reason behind its existence. It's easily dodged making it more of an inconvenience than anything else, but still they remain silent. Maybe they just delight in our annoyance.

I believe the 1k character limit is something added to prevent bots from spamming the forums and that the Japanese playerbase and development side isn't noticing the problem as 1k characters is far more room for expression with all the characters they have access to.

Exactly this, sure its still going to happen with editing your post, but atleast how it is now its some what restrictive which can be good at times and annoying at others. I think they should just keep it how it is.

Don't care about Heavy, I'm pretty good at making it past mobs without cutting through their LoS.

I agree on both. Quotes alone can take up most of your character limit. Even without them 1000 characters isn't much. Plus it's not like we can't get around the limit by editing anyway. All it does is add in an annoying extra step. I have yet to die from heavy. It doesn't make the mobs any more dangerous. All it does is annoy me. Heavy in a fight? Sure, fine. Heavy when I'm trying to get to a world boss before it dies? Not cool.

This is a pretty common complaint I have about English versions of Japanese games. They never think about how their moon runes take up so much less space than our letters.
