I just screwed up and spent 1000 gil on 2 retainer fan. Is there any way to get a regular one besides buying a time card?

Do you mean to use on your main character? There's no way to get them in game, only thing you can do is maybe use a gift card or prepaid card of some sort if you don't want to use / don't have a credit card. They're listed at $10 for a single one. (Also, not sure, but I think there's a paypal option for the mog station, never used it myself though if there is one. Actually scratch that. I just checked and I don't believe there is one.)

Like the post above stated, no in-game way of getting a main character Fan, but if you have unlocked the Aesthetician via a quest in Limsa (i think), you can change your appearance, only by minor things, like hair, hair colour, paint, tattoo's, etc... but sometimes it's enough! :)
