Infuriated with the Fate spawns

I usually have a high tolerance for these fate times for my books, I'm not enjoying the relic quest line at all due to fates. ATMA was a pain to get over , but now its ATMA book. that is the wall preventing me from progressing. I'd love to see something that would alter the objective of the fates in the book that wouldn't end taking 6+ hours for 3 sets of fates when the rest can be done in a fraction of the time.

No way, FATEs are the crowning achievement of this game. FATEs are amazing. FATEs are the best thing to ever be conceived.

RE: Driving content to FATEs is ridiculous. FATEs are boring, awful, take too long to spawn, and aren't fun. Where's the fun, SE?

FATEs aren't boring. It's kind of exciting to see one pop up as you're mulling about doing things in the world.
It's being forced to farm the damn things that's boring :\. That isn't what they were meant for.

I dnot see how you could be having this problem, I have gotten my fates in 2 hours consistently, on 2 sets, with the only outlier being everythings better, at 2.5 hours. You must be doing something wrong.

While everything g I said is true, this *should* be seen for what it is. It is a troll post for how every atma thread went pre-buff. You could say I'm a bit salty about that.

And yes, I really have gotten every fate within 2 hours, I find the 100 kills take me the longest, just because some only have 1 or 2 im the area, and they have roughly 2 minute timers

Just because you were lucky with your book-fates, doesn't mean everyone is.
I was lucky for all except 1 fate in the south shroud (Enmity of my Enemy).
Needed several days for it. 2 of them I logged in and the fate was at 10% - I rushed there as fast as I can but it was over by the time T_T

I am currently having that same pleasure you are experiencing. While I cannot play the game for more than about 3 hrs at a time, thus, I cannot just camp the fate. I have been waiting for this fate for the last 3 days. To pass the time I have done Amalj'aa beast tribe quests; leveling alt characters in the area; defeating other fates to "supposedly" increase the potential of this fate to spawn.

Minor correction, East Shroud is where that fate spawns.

I mentioned in the second paragraph that it was a troll post. As someone who almost broke 1k on atma fates alone, I know the pain of being unlucky, and I mentioned that I'm still a bit salty about how people acted towards that, some even saying the same thing I did "you must be doing something wrong". I know I got very lucky, several times I've tele'd and the fate is at 90-80%. I do wish they would fix the times on the fates, as people have had to wait unreasonable amounts of time camping a single fate. And most drop rates in general need fixing. They don't even make new content for relics, just recycle all the old trash we've grinded countless hours throught already.

There's no viable reason that players should be waiting this long for a single encounter. Time sinks of this magnitude are not beneficial and serve no greater purpose.

The FATE timers need to be on the same timers as the rest of the FATES in a specified area. There is no significant reason why this hasn't been done or why these 'super special rare' FATES cannot be added to a territory's standard rotation. If Svara can spawn commonly, so can the rest of these book required FATES. They seem to be long 'rare spawns' just for the sheer sake of being 'rare' and nothing else. There's no reward/achievement for defeating these 'rare' FATES; just a pat on the back for your patience.

Not all of us have that patience. It's completely ridiculous with a rather obvious fix that seems to be continually overlooked-- and with this many complaints on the forum about the spawn time issues, that overlook may well be deliberate.

Either eliminate the NEED to camp FATEs for any other content, like Beastyman dailies and books, OR reduce the respawn for book FATEs like they did for Beastyman quests (Though I still don't see a difference).

IE: Book/Beastyman FATEs spawn every 15-30 minutes but have reduced rewards because they spawn so often.

I think it's stupid that you don't get credit at all if you aren't there for the whole fate. Just now my fate, 'breaking dawn', popped. I didn't know where the fate was but was in the area and kept checking my map to look for it. When it popped I hightailed it. It wasn't far at all (took me roughly 20 seconds) and it was at 0%. I arrive only to discover some asshole healer and his chocobo was already close to killing it. I managed to toss in a few shots (thunder 3 and Fire 3, followed with a few fires) but I didn't receive any credit and that healer just happily jumped up and down before teleporting away. I was so pissed off. If they're gonna force us into doing fates they should at least give us credit, especially those arriving just a few seconds late.
