Book of Glamours
This might have been suggested before, but I'm wondering if SE could implement a Book of Glamours (or whatever fancy name you fancy) for us to store a "visual copy" of the gear we've obtained. Say you've gotten a Battlemage's Robe from Brayflox's Longstop. Right-click > Record to Book of Glamour. And you can then do away with this piece to free up inventory space.
This book can display recorded gear according to location / sets, or categories like Head, Hands, Body, Feet, etc. Allowing collectionists to complete sets or even adding related achievements can encourage doing past content.
The only thing I'm really afraid SE would say is the problem of database space, since recording which gear you've obtained surely takes up valuable space... :< Glamour is important to a percentage of the player base, and with SE's effort in adding glamour-related content to in-game events and even the cash shop, I really feel they should seriously consider implementing this.

Yeah, I can see this being a database issue. If adding a tackle box for Fisher is difficult enough because of adding additional inventory space, imagine adding a list for every single player full of flags of whether or not they've added x to their book of glamours - a list that would have to continually increase and expand in every future patch.
Though don't get me wrong I'd be hella down for this but if SE answered this in any other way than "This would be really really difficult for us to do in terms of data management" I'd be amazed.

It wouldn't take as much database space as keeping the gear itself does. When you're holding a piece of gear, the system has to remember not just the item, but also its condition, spiritbond %, whether or not it's HQ, any materia that's added to it, who crafted it if it's a crafted item, etc. That's a lot of details that could be stripped out to streamline the glamour book version.

This has been suggested before, and it's still a good suggestion. And yeah, storing just an item URN is much easier/cheaper than storing an actual item. There's much less data to store (unless their databases are set up in some really bizzarely inefficient way). This would work like the Armoire works, which requires 100% condition to store the item, and resets the SB to 0%, and removes all glamours and dyes. If you note, the Armoire is not limited in size, only in what items can go into it.
If I'm remembering right, they said something about including an "Equipment Guide" to complement the Minion guide, Fish guide, and Mount guide at some point in the future. They said something about being able to get a blurb similar to the Mount/Minion guides about each piece of equipment you stored in there to give you more lore on various items. I would expect a feature like this to also include the ability to glamour directly from the equipment guide.
I haven't heard anything about it in a while, but I really want this to happen. I like having glamour options and I like collecting things. Having a list of equipment to collect would keep me playing this game much longer than any other change they could do.
