Disappointment
http://ffxiv-fanfest.com/jp/detail/goods.html
It's very clear that the Japanese Fanfest merchandise is heavily supplemented over the eight items Vegas got.
I honestly can't help but feel utterly disappointed at this and now wondering how much the after market markup on ebay will be for all this as I doubt it will show up in the NA / EU store since we've asked for the Hildibrand shirt for a while and haven't even seen that.

Im right there with you, I would have loved to have the 2015 calendar :(
No worried maybe it will go on mogstation NA/EU cash shop...i keed i keed.
-
Why can they buy the "I beat..." previous shirts? >_>;;
Also, I would LOVE that band+piano album...
-
Wow we did get screwed at the US FF store :( the prices are cheaper for them too. Maybe it was a customs issue, or laziness on getting that all cleared well before the event.
-
disappointment?
you havent seen EU's market lol, we had ONE guy on the cash register!

I think as a whole event, Japan's fanfest out classed all others. merch, prizes, and so on. bit of a let down, ignorance was blizz.

SE has a strict policy of only allowing its merchandise to be manufactured in Japan, but that also limits the amount they're willing to sell at overseas Fan Festivals because they can only bring so much with them.
As for the "I Beat..." shirts, that's another matter altogether. It's the end of the year for them and they needed to get rid of any remaining shirts they had since 2.0 will be concluding soon. It wouldn't make sense for them to hold on to any of them when they won't be doing challenges from 2.0 at events any more. They were clearing inventory essentially, though I do agree that it's a missed opportunity and I certainly would have loved buying those types of shirts over the Gaius T-Shirts they were selling at Las Vegas Fan Festival.
Personal opinion, but the "I Beat..." t-shirts have more value to people as gamers by comparison(because they can be linked to an achievement). I didn't like the Gaius t-shirt because it looked like something I could make in Photoshop in less than 30 minutes.
