Thanks to a forum ban, I've been spending some of my time over the past 2 weeks reading about how putting the gold Eternal Bond behind a cash shop is creating 2 experiences. People are now claiming the addition of dyes is another step in the pay 2 win slope.
Seriously, people need to remember something. FFXIV is a story driven raiding MMO. The team has been VERY clear about that. It is not a social MMO like the Sims Online, PSN Home, or Second Life. There is a social element to it (since it is an MMO), but socializers are NOT the intended audience. None of the items in the cash shop have any impact on raiding.
