Warriors. SE Please change this one little thing.

I know SE has a TON of stuff to worry about, but this is a humble request coming from a long standing follower. The Warrior is ALWAYS my favorite class in any MMO game. Every game, I start up on a warrior of some sort. I have been playing this game since closed beta, and I just started to get really annoyed with ONE little thing.

All of the Warrior skills and animations look great. You get the feel that you are a warrior, throwing your body into your attacks and the feeling of swinging the axe when you hit your stuns. The one thing that really bothers me is the walking animation when you have your axe out. The idle animation with the axe over the shoulder is great! But when we walk with our axe out, no offense SE but we are warriors, not pikemen or dragoons. We should not be carrying our axe like a spear or a pike! Change this one little thing to make us carry our weapons like the badass warriors we are! Love you SE keep up the good work and thank you so much for stoneskin II :)

I could see new waling animation in the future, maybe they could also give us new animation when walking/running with a weapon? Better its optional then asking all Warriors to accept a new walking with weapon style.

How exactly does a typical axe-wielder hold their weapon while they move? I think the animation is fine, unless you are a Lalafell. (the sprint animation with axes are hilarious)

Just trying to visualize the logistics, one method is holding it like warriors do now: both hands out in front with the blade pointed outwards.

Another method could be a one-handed holding stance with the right hand holding onto the center of the grip, the right arm down, and the axe head held down low only a little bit off the ground, as much as a few inches for a Lalafell and as much as a foot for a Roegadyn.

Another method would be running with the axe slung over one's shoulder, much like in the alternate weapon holding stance.

While I do agree that the current axe-holding-while-moving stance looks very awkward, it's also the most realistic stance unless you're sprinting, in which the one-handed stance would be better for generating initial momentum, and the third stance could work suitably well whilst walking, but not whilst running.

This goes for every job. I'm really disappointed with how the jobs (and races) feel. So much copy-paste going on.

Since NIN came, I have had hope again. I really love what they did to the job. It feels very much NIN (except for the copy-paste gatherer hide animation).

I hope 3.0 will be different in this regard, would be awesome!

Could be silly and drag the axe blade across the floor when you run for that dramatic effect. (*SE is not responsible for dull axe blades)

Holding an axe while running/sprinting would be a high-handed grip near the head with one hand, and a low-handed grip on the shaft with the other hand. The axe would be held diagonally across the chest, from just above the iliac crest (Left hand, low grip in the shaft) to just under the shoulder (Right hand, near the head of the axe). While walking the stance would be similar, but the axe would instead be held low, across the waist area, hands in similar positions, but the arms slack and relaxed.

The way Elin Berserkers dragged their axes behind them when they ran in Tera was and is hilarious.
