Was surprised to see Godbert in a random quest

I was doing some quests on NIN that I hadn't completed, and figured I might as well do them. One of the quests in Upper La Noscea had me go talk to Godbert Manderville. Though the NPC was just labeled as Godbert, it was clearly him. Same model, same clothing. He didn't seem to recognize me. Not even when I did the family dance for him.

I think the natural progression of things is for people to do the quest first, but a lot of people miss it. Btw a certain valuable ring you get as a reward? You'll notice it says 'Untradeable' but not 'Unique'. Try headng to Calamity Salvager now and pick up a second. :D

Yea I has two of those as well. I wish I could desynth them though, would be a never ending stream of Demi's lol.

I forget, can you turn those in to FC for expert supply missions for seals/other reasons? Not that it would necessarily make sense, unless I suppose someone had a lot of gil, and it was a fast/economical way to accrue seals and FC action points.

That quest actually came out FIRST. It was several months later that was added to the Hildebrand questline.

Yup, he even comments on the player character in Hildibrand storyline something along the lines of "You! The (gender) with the magical fingers/hands!" Referring to you giving him a massage at Bronze Lake.

I needed some time to deal with that....
