Low Level Roulette and lvl50's

What is it with lvl50's and rushing through low level dungeons? Whenever I am on a 50 myself and go on low level roulette, I never expect the dungen to be rushed, in fact, if I see low level players I encourage them to try all rooms and get all chests, or at least I ask if they want to do so. Not only does it give a boost of exp (even the lowest with around 800 exp per mob is not to be wasted and overseen!), but also chest drops and experience and practice on their jobs. Later we all moan about how players play badly and so on...

Today I was on my 42 nin (hey! I'm still levelling it slowly I know!), and I clicked on low roulette. Halatali came up and healer and summoner were 50, tank was 30ish and me. So tank starts pulling, and we cleaned a fair bit until the first bombs when the healer goes "you don't have to kill all mobs". I say "if we're exping, yes"; was that rude o_O? Anyways, the summoner then stomps into conversation half-bingo, half intent of english, saying that he's not (exping I guess), and that it was a babby lv for the nin. Well I was the nin and I was fine with it, and I didn't understand what he even meant. So I said "I'm sorry but I don't understand you", just to notice that he went and fake dc'd. Motion to kick the smn came up and I refused, apparently not the only one since the motion got rejected. Then the whm dc's...

So my complaint is towards those lvl50 rushers who can't spare 5 or 10 minutes of their precious time (cause really, it won't take that much longer to clean the dungeon) and still find the bonus of 60 soldiery and 5 (!!!) poetics attractive enough to mix themselves with low level peasants, but won't allow them to fully experience the dungeon, exp and get geared, just to go afk in Mor Dhona until the next roulette pops.

What kind of mindset have we as a community now adopted to have everything rushed? And if we can't carry out our way, well let's just hit the X on the game window and wait out 5 minutes until they kicked us for offline. That compensates your time loss eh? Seriously? We now just play to rush and cap our tomes and f**k the others, don't care if they new, they'll learn to do the same eventually...

Almost wondered if that was you in the low level dungeon last night with me, but we were in Tam Tara.

Went in as a 50 SMN. Healer was a 50 SCH. NIN was still leveling. From his gear, I 'd say in his late 30's, early 40's. GLA hit 20 while we were in the dungeon.

SCH goes apes**t and starts spamming Bio on EVERYTHING. He starts doing huge pulls even without the GLA anywhere nearby, then just spams himself with Physick until the NIN and I can drill them down.

Meanwhile I'm slowly unraveling because that poor GLA isn't getting any tanking experience from this.

If we were all 50, sure - why not?

That poor GLA. Felt bad for him so I gave him my commendation for trying to do the best job he could considering.

If there were no--or little--rewards, nobody would run roulettes and the queues would be insane.
When there are rewards, you get people running them not to help others but because of the reward. If they are selfish and rude people, then they will be selfish and/or rude.

It is an unfortunate conundrum.

Yeah, I always feel bad for low level players when I see the higher level ones rushing them through. Most are really quiet about it though and just do their best to keep up. Kudos to those tanks that take it into their hands to ask if anyone is new or wants a full clear, it's usually more relaxed when everyone agrees ahead of time and you can avoid some of the confrontation the OP experienced.

The same reason people speed run and skip mobs in Lv 50 dungeons. The reward is at the end and experience doesn't matter to 50s. They aren't (usually) there to be nice to levelers. They are there for roulette bonus/lights etc. If those rewards weren't there, cues would be even worse. It's a compromise. SE put a carrot there so Lv 50s reduce cue times but sometimes you get slightly less exp from rushing Lv 50s.

There is no fixing it unless every trash mob drops tomes/lights. Til then it's a compromise. Levelers get cues. 50s get their tomes. Sometimes we loose a few trash mobs in the exchange. Sounds pretty reasonable to me tbh.
