Though it's amusing to watch dead players jump around the screen..

...it's not helping our final coil progress any..

So for the past week I, and other players I know on my server have been having maaajor lag issues.

Then last night in coil myself and another player were experiencing, as my other team members described it (I'm not very technical), weird packet issues. We were lagging but instead of dcing, the game was still trying to send the packets so we were about a minute behind our other team members in the fight..though we could still attack mobs on their screens (with dots) even if it didn't seem like we were on ours. We didn't display the lag/dc symbol either. After a bit mine seemed to fix itself yet my team mates did not and we had to call it a night, after spending a nice 5 min giggling over his sliding and jumping dead body .

The thing is we are on different isps, platforms and not even in the same geographical region so I'm not sure what is going on

Can anyone help?

the lag is from the DDoS attacks yo. there is a topic in the lodestone about it. it shouldn't take them too much longer to fully stop the attacks. i am sure they are doing everything they can to at least mitigate them in the meantime, though.

anyhow, nothing can be done except for wait for SE to update us on the situation.
