Good Server to Switch To

So I'm debating on switching servers because my server is not endgame newbie friendly. My sister and I want to do the extreme primals and coil so bad but cannot find a group to work with to do all the primals and coils and we're tried of dealing with elites brats that have all the time in the world- or Duty Finder must know it once and done egos.

We want to have fun, get some cool loot, and enjoy the game. We're looking for awesome players that enjoy the game, don't mind a newbie wipe or two and in fact will laugh about it. Are there servers out there with player like this still? I mean we're even thinking of making new character and doing recon on servers lol!

Well unfortunately every server is going to have those type of people. I'm on leviathan and have ran into very few of these people. But i'm also in the best fc in terms of helping people and teaching the fights.If you're ever on levi check us out. I've also heard that some of the newer servers are also pretty good.

Unfortunately, that's just how people are now it seems.

There are people who are always glad to help others
There are people who will vehemently oppose your very existence if you aren't up to their standard
However most people are indifferent, and mostly just stick to their own FCs/groups. They won't go out of their way to help a stranger, but they won't give them a hard time either.

Every server is going to have a mixture of these, it's just a matter of finding nice people within those servers ^^ I personally like small-medium sized populations for this very reason, they are often more tight-nit and people don't act like jerks as much because the server will find out and dislike them.

If you check out Midgardsormr, let me know. It's a very nice medium server that has a good collection of people. There are some...eccentrics, but most of us are normal and helpful :D


EDIT: Forgot to mention the main downside to these medium-sized servers. If you tend to play at early hours of the morning (2AM PST or so) you won't see much activity, and even in the more popular areas it'll be very sparse during those times.

Malboro is not too bad, you could switch there.... oh wait. No don't leave!! Who am I going to pick on? Just kidding not doing any end game stuff. But yeah, they are everywhere. You are right about Malboro when I check the PF hardly any learning parties.

I know, always the you wipe the party your out parties. And I know you have elites ego's on every server, just seems like there is a ton on mine.

A whole day later, and still like less than a dozen posts and no offers of LS or FC, or raid groups.

The obnoxious and shameless ones will always brazenly populate the PF with "no newbie wanted". You just have to ignore them. Or if you have guts and thick skin you can even join them, but I would advise against it because of all the drama it can create. The funny thing is often those parties have the party host or their friends who have NOT cleared the stuff themselves and are trying to attract other players to help them, but they get mad if other players need to learn.

I would advise switching servers because it often is the grass is greener on the other side, an you will both be out $18. To make it worth it, you probably want to create alt characters on those servers and see how they treat the newbies. But there is one server I'd advice against. If you want a house, do NOT go to Excalibur, they just got no lots left.
