Try queuing as English only (make sure only the 'E' in your duty finder's languages tab is highlighted). Selecting anything else in addition to the E tab can cause the DF to throw you into a Frontlines queue for another language, and since no one queues for international Frontlines on an NA server, you'll be stuck waiting forever for a pop.
Additionally, immediately requeuing after a Frontlines match has ended will often speed up your queue time dramatically, since you'll be put right back into the first wave of PvPers coming out of your match. If you wait longer, that initial group will pop first, and you'll have to wait until that game completes before the DF matchmaking system cycles back to you. This whole process can take a long time, especially during non-primetime hours.
I have pretty easy queue at Friday and Saturday night, but I have checked all lang. ^^;
Sunday all day without fail, I had back to back ques
Rest of the week just check in around 12:00 and 00:00 Central , for the most part I get insta qs
Oh and one more thing, never trust the q timers on DF for frontline ... 25 minutes can mean not for the next 12 hours or just 5 minutes depending on ... your luck ?
Pretty much what everyone else has said... the queues are longer during the day and typically only 48man until around 2-3pm EST. If you queue immediately after a match you can get in pretty much back to back, but you might miss one here and there.
The data center that Balmung is on has about a 3 hour window where ques drop to estimated 12 mins but a lot closer to 5. From linkshell, friends, and people in matches there are 3 matches at least going on at once.
There are some fairly active servers in Aether. If the matches were only 16 man i think we could go server vs server instead of pooling servers like we do. It helps that some of the servers que premades meaning they have 8+ people added to the pool. It doesn't help your win % though. But I will take a fast loss over an hour que.
