Notice the difference in fluidity and how responsive one another are?

If FF14 had a client side game like every other standard mmo out there then that there would bring me back into the game regardless of its current state in my honest opinion. I simply just cannot stand the low response with UI and non fluid game play.

Creating 10,000 servers may fix some issues but is completely inefficient and obviously costs more money than they possibly can afford for this one game.

I agree completely.. Just compare FFXI's response time to FFXIV's..

I think a large part of it is square are trying to discourage or make .dat / file modding as difficult as possible.. I could be wrong?

Or maybe the client would be just purely too massive for a standard pc user..

Didn't they decide on a server side game to disrupt third party use but that obviously didn't work?

I'm actually surprised that fixing lag and possibly making the game client side was not mentioned by yoshi what so ever during 1.15 or 16 patch nor has he said anything recently. Shouldn't lag be this games first priority?

I think in order to smooth over the UI like they're clearly trying to do, I think reducing lag and input latency should coincide and go hand in hand with that..

It goes without saying that an easy to access UI is useless if you have to wait 2 seconds for each screen change.
