Extremely Slow Patch downloading speed (0.03-0.08 MB/s)

Hi,

I don't know why this is happening and I don't think it is due to my ISP slowing down my download speed. Because I have no problem downloading torrents at good speeds (400 KBps+)

What's more frustrating is that I can't resume the download after resetting the connection in the hope of improving the speed. after I reset it the already downloaded amount doesn't continue where it left off. We should at least be able to do that much. pause/resume patch downloads.

so here I am waiting for the patch to finish and it says 1500+ minutes remaining (it was 2000+ at some point) :mad::mad:

If it does actually pause and resume then good, but regarding the speed...can someone help me with this? what can I do to troubleshoot this ? and if there's an alternative patching method i'm very happy to try it.

afaik the patch method is peer2peer based. If you have speed issues then your router for some reason may not be allowing PnP commands to open up ports.

the thing is I have no problem with torrent downloads. therefore, reasonably that should be ruled out.

I would check my router for settings (p2p or else) that are causing the problem but I don't know what to look for.
