T12 Flames of Unforgiveness Troubles

Here's how I understand the mechanic to work: One person has one of two identical debuffs (purple and green purgatory thing). Boss will one-shot them with Flames of Unforgiveness so they pass their debuff during the cast. Passer and receiver take ~5k and then the passer will take a few thousand more from Flames.

We were passing between WHM and SCH and either the passer or receiver was getting one-shot on the pass--not every time and seemingly randomly. Always full-health, sometimes stone-skinned and/or adlo'd. Combat log only showing the one hit for ~4500 and then being defeated.

It was definitely on the pass (e.g. we weren't standing on each other, just touch and dead).

Any ideas what's going on or anyone having similar issues?

Always keep them topped off and both adlo/stoneskin'd for the trade.

Only other source of damage you could receive in that phase is if you got hate on an add momentarily, so I'm just wagering you were simply just MPKing each other by not doing the prep for the mechanic. Fun fight for healers.

That´s the issue.
Replace this with "always" and you´ll be fine

The person with the mark need an adlo and/or stoneskin (both if low hp) likewise the person swapping. If you swap as soon as flames comes out you have more time to top off the marked person before the flames hits. They should be applied during a safe time after red fire as the AOE from red fire will decrease the amount of mitigation if Stoneskin an adlo are put on before (slightly).

You are underestimating the damage from Brand. Treat it the same way you'd treat a tank killer.

I concur you need both adlo and stoneskin up to survive. If the tanks don't grab the Bennu quick enough they will go after the healer and knock off any mitigation effectively killing them once brand damage goes out.

Precast your cure on the person with the brand debuff as they pass it to quickly top them off before flames damage. 4500 hp is most a healer's hp. The following flames damage will kill them if they don't get a heal between the damage.

Sort of more costly, but 1-2 i90 items melded with VIT can help with survivability.

Unless you are horribly under geared th e only thing they need to survive is adlo and topped off. It is far more efficient to have the sch solely responsible while the whm heals the tanks.

Yes, if your group is geared and has enough VIT an Aldo is enough.

as in ...110 gear than yes.

When we just started T12 we met the same problem. Both me(sch) and our whm put on 2 i90accessories with vit melded, so our hp were 5800+(with food+party buff). After that all the random death were gone, and we cleared the fight.
You will need at least the same amount of hp as well for T13.
