I got my Forager's Hat and Hatchet. What do I focus on next?

My BTN AF gears are all melded so that I can gather two star nodes reliably.

It seems I have two paths to aim for now-

Gather money for demimateria for Supra; or

Gather money for Forager's Set (which one first though?)

What do?

Definitely get the HQ Forager's off hand, and quad meld it with perception. Best bang for your buck...

The Forager's clothes, not enough of a boost to mess with especially if you have all your af melded already. Just a waste of money

Forager's offhand is the biggest stat boost (18 gathering, 31 perception), but as you know it's quite expensive and rare to see one listed on my server. Supra is a moderate stat boost -- 10 gathering 6 perception over Forager's, and a lot less expensive than the Forager's offhand. Basically I'd go for both, but offhand first. It's probably a bit more expensive, but the stat bonuses are much higher and it will definitely allow you to HQ the new 2.4 nodes (if you can't already).

EDIT: Forager's clothes are a bit of a stat boost for the whole (expensive) set and easy to meld, but mostly just worth it if you're outfitting other gatherers that weren't geared up before.

Having both BOT and MIN fully melded I plan on getting the forager's set and equipping my current sets to my retainers.

It will be a while before they are properly dressed though.

100% +1 here. I have both the off hand tools [miner/botanist] made by our FC leader and master craftsman, Yachiru Dodxit in HQ. To be completely honest, I replaced my old tool with this considerable boost (even though I was penta-melded) and I STILL don't get more than 1 or 2% on platinum or ebony logs. It's still cool to be one of the few who has this tool.

If your only concern are only botany/miner for now, then Forager suit are the last priority you need.

Fisher however, gonna need every ounce of gathering stats you have thus needing the new Forager suit, that is if you're planning to get all 2.4 big fishes too since completing the big fish achievements will net you a very special Ironworks fishing rod version that's better than Supra, something miner/botany doesn't have atm.
