what is the best retainer ilvl

to try and get the new dyes from quick ventures?

Afaik, if you can send them to XIV and XV 18 hour ventures (have the iLvl for them) you should be able to get the dyes from quick ventures. The iLvl requirement for XV 18h ventures is i90 if I remember correctly (can't log into the game now to check).

I was getting dyes (2 at a time) from Quick Ventures since i80, if that helps any.

IIRC it has been "player-confirmed" that i80 is the thresh hold to get dyes.

You need to be at least i80 to get them. But being over i90 helps.

It's whatever is required for the XIV 18-hour venture; i80 or some gathering over 300 (can't remember that number)

383 Gathering :)

Yes it seems to be i80 for DoW/DoM. On gathering I was getting them with only enough gathering for the level 50 XI venture.

Like I said my gathering was way lower than that when I first started getting them. 280 maybe?

Oh this was in regards to the XIV 18hr venture, which requires 383. I can't recall what the XI one is, but you're probably right, around 280ish.
