lol so 1 doh 50 ?
I am going to be 50 gsm tonight. After looking into the higher level items it seems I won\\'t get too far w/o some cross class skills.what skills are most useful first? (I don\\'t plan to take all doh to 50, but might take 3-4.)
So there might be something posted on this already, I however am on my phone, if u have one a link would be fine.

You'll need most of them eventually.... :)
To start with, you want CP management skills: Comfort Zone, Trick of the Trade, Manipulation
and hqing skills: Steady Hand 2, Hasty Touch, Byregot's Blessing
-
For quality gains and CP management on tougher synths you need hasty touch (CUL 15), steady hand II (CUL 37), tricks of the trade (ALC 15), and Byergot's Blessing (CRP 50). Comfort zone (ALC 50) is nice, but not necessary until really the top tier. Careful synthesis I/II (WVR 15/50) are indispensable (well CS2 makes CS1 obsolete) for all levels of crafting. 3-star+ items (especially furniture) require piece by piece (ARM 50) and/ or Ingenuity II (BSM 50) because because of the ridiculous progress bar.
If I had to choose, I'd say carpenter is a must. Byregot's Blessing is insanely powerful. Weaver is a must. Careful synthesis 2 is flat out better than basic synthesis (100% success / 120% progress). ALC to 15 and CUL to 37 will be very helpful. Blacksmith to 50 would also be very helpful. If you don't level ARM to 50 there are some items that you'd have absolutely no chance of making, but that's up to you to decide.
It gets to be a lot of work leveling everything up, but every skill, with few exceptions, is worth having with many being flat out required to synth a lot of newer items.

sadly i capped my carpenter like 5-6th DOH @ level 50 after using byregots once or twice wished i capped carpenter 1st its prolly 1 of the most op crafting cross skills easily gets basic recipes HQ without much effort havent tested it at the higher star recipes yet since still trying to get materia to fully gear up ;/

As I am looking into it, talking to friends etc. Have also heard alchemist next for that lvl 50 ability? I guess as next doh to 50 I'm just not sure...?

I think you got to ask yourself where you want to go with crafting. wanna be able to just make your own food/potions, make a bit of gil on the side? etc etc
Crafting while leveling through Leves can be pretty quick if someone PLs you, it can be very time consuming if you want to get anywhere in it end game wise. First thing I would personally do is lvl each DoH to 15. This is really quick and so worth it. This gets you all of the lvl 15 cross skills for each DoH. I know you mentioned you only want to lvl 3-4 classes but to lvl each one to 15 i can honestly do it in 1-2 hours with leves. You will really have an upper edge on things.
If you are going to want to make harder stuff your going to want to get all DoH to 50. So ask yourself what youd like to do in the crafting game and go from there.

A crafter can make a decent leveling with only one class at 50 and the rest at 15. With those skills and decent gear, you can HQ pretty much anything below one-star.
One-star recipes will require that you have good gear (ilvl 55 crafter gear), and possibly a few melded materia.
Two-star gear will require extensive materia melding and/or leveling a few more classes to 50.
Three-star, it's advisable to level all classes to 50 AND meld extensively. Picking up your Artisan's main-hand tool is a good idea, as well.
Four-star actually isn't TOO much harder than three-star, though it helps to have BiS gear to clear the token-item hurdle (crafting these three-star tokens is actually much more difficult than crafting four-star recipes!) necessary to purchase your four-star recipe book.
Unlocking the four-star recipes requires pretty significant dedication to a chosen craft. While there are folks out there who have accomplished this on multiple crafts (a few even on all eight crafts), it's relatively rare.

Now planning on carpenter 50 -> weaver 50 after all @15 thanks for all the input and I will keep checking back if anyone else has an opinion :-)
-
So as I have been getting more into crafting I have decided to strive for 4 star crafting, at least as of now I have GSM carpenter WVR achieved in that order, I would like to hear someone else's opinion as to what to level next, they will all hit 50 before the new patch (plan as of now at least) but the order in which they reach 50 is what I'm wondering? So right now planning on leatherworker then maybe alchemists or culinarian? As of right now I am still unable to HQ rose ingots might be my rotation also. Also I am have a hard time with byrots blessing rumination seems more useful to me at this point? Maybe I'm using it wrong?

Culinarian to 37.
Also its possible to do a LOT of Alchemist leveling buying levequest items off the market board.
