This is a question to the 1.0 survivors, the ones who poured over every tidbit of information as it was released/leaked. I too followed most of what was translated (thanks Reinheart!) and scoured the players polls , LftP and the Live LftP. I seem to recall one point where Yoshi-P had listed all the things he wanted to put in ARR (including Crystal Tower, Housing, FC's, PvP, etc.). So this is where my question comes in.
Does anyone remember what core systems Yoshi-P has left to implement into the game from his 1.0 aspirations? I think all that is left is the Golden Saucer (and associated mini-games including a card game) as well as FC Summoning.
If anyone has a link to that long forgotten LftP I would love to look over it and will add it to the OP. Thanks!

Yes! Things to note that are not yet in the game are:
Summoning system that rewards summons to the free companies that defeat them.
Campaign of battles against the dragon horde in defense of Ishguard with participation possible as ANY of the FOUR disciplines. (Heavensward?)

Magitek Armor as a companion like our chocobos, it was mentioned a bunch of times but then they seemingly forgot about it or didn't work out or maybe they're still working on it for the expansion, who knows.

Choco escorts and hamlets were some events in 1.0 that have yet to be implimented. But fates are as close to a choco escort as it can get. Yoshi just needs to impliment a event for crafters and gatherers besides Beastmen dailies.

If someone could find and link the original 2.0 road map it would probably give you the answer. There was lots of things on there I didn't think they'd actually add, and it came to be. So I would start there. I'm pretty sure that airships were on there, and maybe even flying mounts.. I know the dual mount was on there. At the time it was meant only for the marriage system.
