I got kicked off a few min ago and now every time I start up FF I just get the maintenance error... I don't even get the log in screen.

I logged off a few min ago to take a break, and when I got the the character select, nothing came up. Then after a minute or so a message came up about how the connection to the lobby server failed. So I'm guessing it's a server crash or something similar. Prolly won't last too long.
Dont worry, i think its mainly to update the start of the event & also update the Lodestone for the "Wallpaper" design link.
They both should be ready when the event start.
You can log in again.
