Masonwork Stove: Please Explain....

So I can get on it and sit but yet I can't place items on its shelf or hand pictures on it. Are there plans to change this?

agreed this doesn't make sense at all, and frankly I was disappointed I couldn't set something on the shelf or place a nice Hildebrand painting on the chimney

I love this fireplace! So much more than manor, but it would be even nicer if it was table top design like you said.

They have these same fireplaces in Coerthas and Mor Dhona. In those places, you can see books and objects placed on the mantlepiece. It's disappointing the same isn't possible with ours.
