Tome capping
So we are at the 3rd generation of tomes and i'm kinda surprised ppl r still driven to cap it. I mean yeah sure it's for gear progression right? I have slowly been getting lazy about capping and am like wow wtf is wrong with me lol. I use to be so eager to cap in 2.0/2.1 so i could equip all those awesome i90 job looking gear. (Did those reset day AK speed runs which eventually became WP speed runs due to the buffs in AK).
I was like owowowowo my stats increasedd and i look cooool. But now im just like meh, @ 40/450 tomes and its monday afternoon.
Anyone else starting to feel this way?
Its probably cuz i don't raid lol but idk.
Probs lost around 600+ tomes combined since the 1st week of patch lol .

If you're regularly clearing t11-13, I could see why you'd go nuts and cap it insta.
If not, take your time, and it will cap itself.
-
Have to cap each week since I have not cleared T13 yet.
-
I rarely capped sol, mostly because I did not like the look of the tome gear. I like the Ironworks gear though, so I've capped ever week since poetics were released.

The treadmill gets boring after a while.
That's my opinion at least. I just know next patch will have bigger/better gear so why fight to cap when what I have is more than adequate for most content other than coil.

My own enthusiasm has very much dwindled as patches progressed. I remember once being excited to cap tokens, to being okay with capping tokens, to feeling like I'm forcing myself to cap tokens, all the way to not really wanting to get a token period. Call it due to the constant replacing of gear patch after patch. Its just hard to get excited anymore for it after all the work I did gets thrown out every couple months. I'm just waiting till CT 3.0 and lotto in for my one drop a week and leave it at that for expansion prepping.

With the amount I play and how low the weekly cap is set, I would not be able to avoid capping. I think it doesn't really take long to do even if you aren't very motivated. Either dungeons or pvp, if you play daily, the tomestones will hit the wall incidentally while you have fun.

If you do 1 EX roulette a day, you'll cap in 6 days. Do a trial roulette and that number goes down a bit. In other words it takes about an hour a day tops to cap your poetics.

I usually do the "Morbid Motivation" daily quest along my daily expert roulette, if you do it you'll eventually cap before weekly reset. If you’re missing do an extra run of High level roulette.
Unless, you have the urge to cap after reset in 5 hours so you could get an Ironworks piece of gear and let your character in MorDhona AFK to show it off. (/SlowClap) Wow, you’re amazing... You capped fast and need to wait a whole week now... and do the expert roulette just for Alex maps.
I used to hate the cap/weekly restricted item, but now I see it smart.

My preferences change each day, from "I should cap this for gear..." to "not like I actually need new gear for anything..."
