I've reached the cap so many times, I just ended up trading them all for Venture Tokens.
Really, it's not that hard to cap it, especially if you trade gear found in dungeons/trials for them.
But I will say this: along a proper "legendary" transformation for our relic, we're way overdue for a rank increase... -

I use mine to buy venture tokens, as well as gear for other jobs as I level them, assuming it's better than what I already have available to myself.

I've hit that cap a ton of times as well. Just spend them. It's not difficult to get a bunch back. Turning in unwanted dungeon drops that you won the lot on is imo the fastest way.
