Why make it so difficult to gear up our non-caster DPS?

Ok.... Let me explain the tittle, and the whole thing better, but here's a short idea of what I thought when 2.4 came... "Yay!.... MNK AND NIN share gear, cool!" and this is what I thought when I saw the "Scouting" gear in Ironworks Gear "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

Now.... Let's put it in the all-arounder point of view... I like to gear up, slowly, as they are a lot of classes, all my classes... As you may know, you have the super advantages of gearing up 6 classes like if gearing just three... While the others are just... Exaggerated complicated for non reason at all...I don't understand the Ironworks design neither...So... Here it goes my schema of compatibility, gearwise what other jobs you can fully or partially gear when gearing up:

Note: Left side gear = (Head, Chest, Feet, Legs, etc...)

Left side gear: WHM and SCH share it.
Accesories: They both use same stats, mind.
(Please I'd appreciate you to avoid comments such as... "But SCH needs critical and WHM needs bla bla", we got it, now keep reading, it concerns the you can equip it, you can't.)

Left side gear: WAR and PLD share it.
Accesories: They both use same stats, vit, str, etc...

Left side gear: BLM and SMN share it.
Accesories: They use int.

Left side gear: NONE OF THEM MATCH... NIN and MNK the exception and by giving a look to ironworks you can imagine that's no more.
Accesories: DRG MNK share STR, but their left side gear doesn't match so... BRD and NIN share dex, but we go to the same, even the pre-110 gear is shared with monk.

Basically as you see in the schema.... You need, almost, four different damn sets for... Four classes.... While you can cover SIX of them just by having three sets... And I'm finding some of the gear limitations a bit... Weird, for example, If monk and ninja share even the 110 gear.... WHY NOT IRONWORKS?!.... Is that they share the pre 2.4 gear just because SE (Logical, btw, I wouldn't add useless pre-50 gear after adding any new classes neither.) didn't want to make more armor models? If so, why not sharing it for the rest of the gear?...

Because if you notice, there's not so much difference between BRD and NIN Ironworks and neither the same with DRG and MNK... At least Gloam and Auroral Tabards had more different colors but in this case it is just revert white and black...(To be honest, I like more the design of the MNK and DRG ironworks armor than BRD and NIN... Too bad NIN has to stuck with it and can't use MNK gear just like with the other gear around....)

Am I the only one who encounters it odd, weird, and overall, annoying if you want to gear it up? It was already annoying to gear DRG, MNK and BRD by different, I was kind of relieved when I saw MNK and NIN would share gear, but... By glancing at 120 gear... I think it is not going to be the case in future gearsets... There will probably be more "Scouting" gear to see.

Sigh... Even if NIN and MNK gear would stay being to be shared in the future, they still don't share accesories because of stats so... Was really so balance breaking to at least allow them to share the left-side gear?....

I would love to get individual gear for my smn/blm

Every class should get their own gear imo

Time sinks - more of your time, more of your money to SE.

I guess if you are not an end game raider, you won't care about secondary stats...
But for some people, they don't equip stuff just because they can and it has a high ilvl.

Definately, I would like my smn/blm or war/pld or whm/sch to look different. I don't have a static for FCOB but I been messing around SCOB since they removed the lockout

I'd be happier if they'd just give more armory chest space for all these sets I'd like to have on my character at once.

Yes, that's the reason. That's why all 2.3 and earlier gear is shared and all 2.4 gear and later is not shared.

Actually, I'm tired of sharing gear. ^^;

As my main is bard and second main class on this character will be ninja (I do have a 50 monk on a second character though), I like the fact the right side share the same items which means my poetics are gearing both my classes for price of one and that side not altering the look of the class to much degree. The left side I am glad they are not shared because I like each them to look unique and have their own style. So personally I have no problem with the way they have it right now.

Also I do not think it is hard to gear any with poetics, sure little annoying having a cap on it if trying to gear up two or more classes on same character at same time but that just means for time being just gear up your main class first. In the meantime while doing that for example I tend to farm a lot of bard and this has given me a vast amount of ilvl90+, 100+ and even 110+ gear pieces for my ninja that got from rolling on greed in dungeons, raids and trials plus spare soldiery from my bard runs despite my ninja still only level 39 right now as such I do not find gearing it up hard at all.

Anything better than currently use on main class I keep for main class and if already have better on main class when something drops or have spare soldiery I roll for it or buy it for the ninja alt. Because of this my ninja alt has mostly ilvl100 or ilvl110 before even hit 50 plus few ilvl120 accessories due to sharing right side with bard but even if was not shared I would still have ilvl110 pieces could use on it from loot greed rolls or spare soldiery.

My blm/smn shouldn't share gear. They need two different things and the Ironworks gear is a slap in the face for smns.

Brd/Nin shouldn't share gear either. They are two different style of jobs. Hell, the only things that should be shareable are the accessories. All the left sides should be class/job based.

That is how it works at the moment. I am glad that is the only sharable aspect, as each class I think should have unique armour and the left side is the part that matters in that regard which currently is not shared.

What bothers me is the inconsistency. You have striking (mnk) and maiming (drg) suffixes for allagan accessories... which are shared by all classes by default. Then you have body pieces that also have striking and maiming suffixes, which are class restricted.

...Now you have myth accessories that have slaying suffixes, but as accessories go, also has no class restriction. ST Gear also divides it up between maiming and striking, as well as HA gear.

Now 2.4, bard gear is shared with...ninja? Except previous striking gear (HA and allagan) also give Dex, up until ironworks and dreadwyrm.... while ninja gets their own as Scouting. But now Bard's suffix is still aiming for ironworks and dreadwyrm ...as well as the accessories.

Consistency where?
