Samurai Request Thread

So, I know people who have been holding out for Samurai are disappointed at the fact that Samurai didn't make the cut for new classes for 3.0. And then this was said:

Regarding Samurai

• They had an idea to make Samurai a tank. However because the Heavensward (I think they call it Souten no Ishigard in Jp) theme is dark, they felt a dark knight was more fitting for the role.
• Inside of YoshiP the Samurai feels more like a DPS than a tank.
• Since they released the Ninja job,they didn't want another Japanese style job
• They decided to skip Samurai for now but since a lot of people request it they are still examining whether to add it in the future

Well, this thread is to show Yoshi-P the Samurai's of the FFXIV community and get the ball rolling for the job to be implemented to the game. Up vote and sign your name, and lets get Samurai in Eorzea !

Who said they aren't bringing in Samurai? It may not be at 3.0 launch but it's coming. Just be patient.

They will put it in at sum point would be interesting if it was a tank tho.No matter what ill level it ^^

My preference for Samurai would also be tank, but I'd still level it if it were a damage dealing class.

Make samurai a DPS. Not a tank.

Another tank option is always good, though I would be fine with damage as well.

There was a perfectly good thread already for talking about SAM. I'd still want it as a tank. And as I said in the other thread, use Rurouni Kenshin as an influence for SAM (much like how Naruto influenced NIN and how Berserk will influence DRK).
