T9 Question- SMN

I've read mixed things about DoTs ticking on Nael during her jumping phases. Recently, I joined a PuG and was told by a Parser that I was pulling 340 with pet included. My questions for anyone willing to answer.

1.) Does the DoT's not tick? If so, then I probably should save my Contagion / RS casts for after jumps, which should probably raise my DPS drastically.

2.) Do I Enkindle at the start of the fight? By doing so, at the start will that allow it to be up during the Ghost phase?

3.) My tank was big about me not being in Melee range, and I was completely out of Potent Poison Potions, and was unable to run in for Miasma 2 (told not too) for my Contagion. Subtracting all those things plus my book hits, is that the main reason I was so low?

Be brutal if you have too, I have thick skin. My goal is to play the class to the best of my ability, and I feel with 110 gear, I should be in the 400 range easy on this fight.

I book smack as much as possible. The tank shouldn't care one bit.

DoT tics do not hit when Nael Jumps. I only contagion my first rotation in the first phase. Golems I Contagion the Blue golem each time. (we kill Green, Blue, Red but Blue turns to red so its alive the longest) Contagion > bane > Enkindle the ghost. (then I'm on LB duty) Cont as much as possible in the final phase.

I only Enkindle during the ghost, with DPS being higher now you want to make sure its up then.

Mega vs X is a decent loss on SMN since the DoTs are a snap shot. Raging+Pot+Foes+Contagion DoTs = massive DPS.

If you use endkindle at the begin you have second one in the ghost phase. Same with raging strike u can use one at the begin, second in the golem phase and third in the ghost phase.

I miasma II at the start of the fight then run back to max casting range, and I Miasma II again after double dive so after the second set of markers go out plan accordingly and start moving in closer if there is a clear path. If there isnt pop sprint, recast your bio and miasma if neccesary, bio II as you're running towards the boss, miasma II after GDC is done, as you're running back you can ruin II and be back in position before the next meteor drops. I only enkindle once during ghost burn, and I only raging at the start of the fight and right after phase change after megaflare. Once Nael lands there is a second where you can't target him/her, wait until you see the health bar again and pop raging, you can get off bio and miasma before heaven's fall knocks you around. Those are my tidbit tips.

you should enkindle at the start, it will be up for the ghost phase. this way u get 2 enkindles

all parties do things different, if the tank don't want you near, probly best not to upset your party. maybe you had too many melees, and this is why he didn't want you there. who knows, not a big deal.
