Fishing and Treasure Maps

Can I please have the ability to throw back a map I don't want? It's annoying to have your daily allowance wasted while fishing up stuff for the Ixali quests or just fishing in general.

Nope. Just keep a map of that type in your inventory or make sure to use up your allowance beforehand.

Edit: Yeah, that sucks. I generally try and check my map allowance before I go fishing if not, I deal with the crappy map. Not sure the below helps at all.

There are certain fishing holes that only give certain maps. So that's your best bet. Want Peisteskin maps? Mor Dhona over near where the hapalits are. There is a boarskin and toadskin hole as well in MD. One is the swamp area and the other is near the plasmoids, though I don't remember which is which.

Yeah, this was really more a suggestion for a quality of life improvement. Seems like a silly oversight when Mining and Botany allow you to simply cancel the node and move on to the next one if the map you want doesn't appear.

Completely agree. Fishing is the odd gatherer out.

The topic is in reference to doing the ixali dailies though, which requires you fishing out of a lvl 35 and lvl 50 spots. Nor does it really help that the maps themselves are random too (in the lvl 50 area case, its either boarskin or pestieskin)

Yea this is why I always get my map before I do the Ixali dailies.

They really need to add an option to fishing where you can throw back the items you don't want. Whether its low level fishes or unwanted maps.

Not for fishers

Timeworn Toadskin Map: South Umbral Isles and Rathefrost only
Timeworn Boarskin Map: Reaver Hide and the Tangle only
Timeworn Peisteskin Map: Lake Tahtotl, Parata's Peace, and the North Shards only

I'd be perfectly happy if they'd remove maps from fishing so I don't accidentally catch one I don't want.
