Random crashes after killing mobs

So pretty much every time i kill a Thistletail Marmot near camp Drybone the game crashes the instant i get the killing blow. granted my laptop should never be able to play FFXIV with its crapy integrated hp graphics driver but magically it has had no problems on pretty much the lowest settings and it only crashes after i kill a marmot and not a dodo or leve quest mobs.
any idea what it might be? im fairly certain its not overheating because before the patch i had no problems with leaving the client open in Ul'dah all day. Doesn't seem to happen if i kill the marmots far from the camp.

thats right complete crap of a laptop :cool: but atleast tomarrow im getting a new one.

Though this error is supposed to be about memory, in terms of this game it usually means a driver issue.

And it is the driver for this causing the issue. This video card -cannot- handle this game properly. The triggers vary person to person, but inevitably these video cards cause problems. What is happening is that there is a video effect that is used during the marmot's death that your card cannot handle, and so you crash.

The fix is to get a laptop without one of these video cards in it. Hopefully your new laptop will fit the bill.
