One-Time Freebie for leaving a duty.

Personally, I never have this problem, but it go me thinking. There are people that may have to leave a dungeon for something they thought would take them a while. Like pick up a family member from work or some kind of errand that needs to be taken care of. Maybe you get called right after to tell you never mind they got a ride. Now you have to wait 30 minutes before you can do another dungeon.

Now so people will say, they shouldn't have joined a duty if they weren't gonna be able to finish. Well you never know what's gonna come up at one time.

All I am getting at is, there should be a 1 time use per day. A "why you are leaving a dungeon to not get a penalty" option. Only 1 per actual day.

This way it can't be abused.

I would love if this happen. The situation you described happens to me all the time as the oldest brother in my household. Yeah, I know. I should know when something will happen and not queue if something might happen. But life is unpredictable as hell sometimes. So once a day, or heck once a week (or more balanced, every 72 hours) would be great.

Something like this seems reasonable. I do think the cooldown would need to be a bit longer than a day to prevent abuse.

30 min without a dungeon isnt a big deal since the situations where you have to leave and suffer the penalties (only to find out that you didnt have to) are usually not that common.

But giving players that leave cause of new players, not getting the dungeon they wanted or any other well known stupid reason a free pass to que again is bad.

30 min without a dungeon isn't a big deal for people that have all day to play, but what of that person that only has two hours to play? Those 30 min effectively ended their hopes of doing a dungeon that day, especially if they're dps.

Its unfortunate but lets be honest, how often does this happen and how many does it really affect?

MMO:s are time consuming games so yes if you dont have alot of time to play them then sometimes you will end up in a situation where time isnt on your side.

^ This. The 30-minute penalty isn't just there as a "punishment" to make you feel bad after the fact, it is there as a deterrent to prevent trolls or lazy players from dumping any dungeon group they don't like. Even one freebie would basically be a "Free Leave Ticket" per day for all the snooty tanks and elitists who don't want to play with newbies. It would not be used sparingly in case of emergencies, it would be used every day.

Except, that 30 minutes begins as soon as you leave the dungeon and go attend to your task. So, that lockout time will already be partially burned away by the time you're back to the game. One of the examples OP gave was "pick up a family member from work." This will probably take more than half an hour anyway, so it won't even affect you. The people it will affect are those who only left the dungeon with the intent to requeue immediately.

This will be abused to no end.

People already leave if they get a dungeon they don't like during a roulette. Letting them do this once a day is just going to let them do that more. People that normally do not leave dungeons and don't have the problem you describe will now leave dungeons because "I hadn't used my get-out-of-fail-free allowance today".

The "People with limited time" will be even more affected by this. Sure they can now leave once, but so can everyone else. Finding themselves party-less after a long queue is going to become a much more common occurrence.

So no, this creates more problems than it solves. Besides, if you really have to go do something that needs you to drop your party, chances are it's going to take longer than the half-hour penalty.

Do not support. I think it's great as is and needs no changes.
