My chocobo is currently rank 11 with EXP 1714000/1714000. I feeded it with a Thavnairian Onion. It failed to rank up.:mad:
Moreover, it did not gain any experience point.

that's because you capped while inside the stable.
It even warns you not to feed onions until you level up...
Step outside, summon your choco, kill 1 mob.

Then feed another onion.
