Payment options?

This will hopefully be my last time asking this before I move. Can I use prepaid visa's or something like that to renew my sub/buy crysta? No, I can't get a debit card, my bank is too small for it (Live in a rural town.) and a credit card is out of the question for the time being.

And if they can't could they be used possibly for a digital time card? I'm sure this question has been asked hundreds of times, but after they removed paypal/UGC they messed my sub up. Any help will be appreciated!

That would work, but paypal doesn't take gift cards anymore for some reason. Buuuut I have another method for those out of luck like me! Get a visa gift card from your store, load it with the needed amount and buy crysta to pay for the sub.

Those accept them for some reason (Not going to complain though!) I would know because it just worked, I tried using the card itself to pay for the sub but no luck, so crysta it is until I move!

I wish they would fix their credit card payment system on the Japanese site. Can't use my English credit card because they don't allow foreign credit cards anymore, can't use my Japanese credit card because they use some weird security system only a few companies have opted into.

Buying gametime is ok because I can get game cards, but crysta is sucha pain.

Paypal would be amazing.

Who do you have your Japan card through? By last year, all of the Japan visa/mc issuers were required to provide compliance with the MC SecureCode or Verified by Visa program. (There's also one for JCB) You just need to have setup your online statement viewing and the same username/password combo is used for the verification screen, in most cases. I have two visa cards from SMBC and one MC from MUFJ.

Anyway... SE supports all three.

Rakuten. I can view my statement online, but when I try to use the card on mogstation, it never even asks for a username and password, just says it's not compatible with the security system, check with your creditcard company.

Have never had any issues with it anywhere else.

Thanks for your reply. That's quite strange, Rakuten supports the extra security stuff, strange that your card won't work with it. I'd go complain! lol....

I took a quick scan of chiebukuro, there are some complaints floating around. So, you aren't the only one.

Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful. :( At least they sell the game cards at the convenience stores (some?) and there's always web money cards.

Gamecards aren't the solution to the issue. Sure, you can renew your sub. But you can't get more retainers, buy fantasia or rename your character, get the CE edition anymore or buy whatever glamour/mounts/minions they add to the cash shop. They promised to add the paypal option months ago. Where the hell is it?

Interesting! Thanks for checking :) At least it's not just me, haha. I should probably try again sometime. I am lucky there are always game cards and web money, but for both of those I have to go to the combini so wanting to use a credit card is pure laziness :p

Paypal would definitely be a welcome addition. For some reason my debit card isn't accepted so now I have to use a time card which not only costs more but also locks out my extra retainer.
