Official Recruiting and Inquiry Thread
Nice to meet you, and thank you for your interest. VANQUISH strives to be a closely-tied and self-sufficient community. We have no requirements for rank or focus as long as you are as committed to furthering the interests of our Linkshell as we are to furthering those of our members. If you do not have a combat class over 30, there may be some restrictions on joining, as linkshell administration options in the game are extremely limited and these risks are taken on a case-by-case basis.
Because we try to remain a small and reliable team, our recruiting cycles move rather rapidly at times as players come and go from the game and move between canopy groups such as ours. Likewise, when we accept several new members at once, we will often close recruiting for a short time so that we can get to know each other and feel out how well we work together.

We are exclusionary.
The first thing you should know about us is that we all conform to a limited-linkshell policy, and will ask that you do as well. Please note that we will never restrict your social life; you may be friends with whomever you choose. However, we do require that our members are as dedicated to advancing our interests as we are to advancing theirs; what this means is that we ask that the professional facet of your in-game activities be restricted to only our group. We simply pass around and give away items of high value, quality, and rarity too often to afford for our members to be double-dipping or preoccupied by divided loyalties.
We are not exploitatory.
We do not capitalize on our members; Items, crafting needs, and repairs are exchanged at-cost in a mutually respectful system: Those requesting favors are expected to provide all requirements unless those performing favors specifically say not to worry about it. Trying to take advantage of, or profit from, your community members and teammates is greatly frowned upon and trespasses the spirit of our community.
We are not nepotistic.
DKP is a pyramid scheme that, after a linkshell has been established for some time, only rewards the top echelons in the majority of cases. We don't use it; no exceptions. Depending on the current loot-distribution-system of the game itself, we adapt our system accordingly to maintain a fair and balanced distribution that takes necessity and realism into account before desirability.

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to enlist in our linkshell, even on a trial basis to get the feel for whether or not you'd like to officially join our community. We do have a VENT server, and using it is mandatory if you wish to take part in events (even if you don't have a microphone).
