Improve Frontlines "Grouping"

Three Alliances, one Alliance gets 5 Healers, the last two have ZERO.

Ask people to switch, they don't or no one has a 50 Healer in the remaining Alliances.

This is a problem.


Also, let us Wolve's Den against our friends for fun (no reward)... 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4.

Since barely anyone can agree on some form of World PVP, let us have that to duel each other with.

There's not much they can do about the grouping that wouldn't cause increased queue times. They intentionally dropped the party makeup requirements for FLs queues to improve the matching speed since you can actively swap jobs within the instance. They would have to go back to more or less filling the parties before starting the instance instead of being able to immediately enter even with less than full teams. In fact they were so adamant about making the changes they hotfixed it in between patches rather than wait for 2.35. I doubt they're going to roll that back. If one of the three parties in your alliance lacks heals, strategize. Use that team to DPS overload the center or have people drop their soul crystals to crossclass Cure etc.

An ineloquent solution but at least it can get the job done & not affect queue-times.

A thought that occurred to me in Frontlines is, perhaps it would be cool if alliance members could propose a switch with people in other parties before the match starts.

Just multiply the exp gain by 2 and i'll pvp more.

A Request Alliance Swap feature would be awesome.

That or legitimate grouping will do.

What do you mean by legitimate grouping? Set party makeups? I already explained they intentionally did away with that to improve the horrible queue times since you're free to change classes once you're inside.

^not set, but intelligently proportioned makeups like not clumping 5/5 healers in a single Alliance.

Being free to change classes doesn't make up for the fact not everyone has a 50 healer at their disposal.

Nor the stubbornness of players to not switch to healer when it's needed.

The system could keep queue times the same by grouping however & then rebalancing the groups upon commencement.

Or as stated, a Request Alliance Swap would suffice.

Ok, then the first 10 seconds you have 2 healers in the group and after the first 10 seconds it would be 5 healers again
It is not the DF who clumping 5 healers into a single group. It is the players who don't want to adjust their party setup. The duty finder only put 24 players of the same Grand Company into a single alliance

And I hope you mean group swap, and not really alliance swap.

Need... Alliance... Swap... Request...

To above poster, not everybody has a pocket 50 healer, that's not always the case.

And systemically that can't be solved but an Alliance Swap Request or better programming could improve the situation.
