Ninja DoT/Debuff Icon Visuals and Colors

As a ninja, you have to constantly watch for a couple of debuffs and dots being applied to enemies: mutilate, dancing edge, and Shadow Fang.

The problem is, these 3 icons all look alike. They all have similar shapes (the silhouette) and color schemes. This makes it very hard to distinguish one another when they're under the status bar of an enemy.

Hope something can be done to make them more distinct and easily recognizable.

One is yellow and green
One is purple and blue
One is blue and orange

They're still hard to distinguish regardless once the icons are converted to the tiny status bar size. I don't have any issues with other classes. There's just something about these 3 icons that make them blend together.

mutilate and dancing blade look similar, having similar color schemes at a glance, but shadow fang is completely different.
That said if you wanna talk icons, i'd like something a little more unique for trick attack's debuff :P

Also Mutilate is ORANGE and green

I don't have trouble with it, but then i don't go off the colors.
Mutilate runs left, Dancing Edge runs right and Shadow Fang is jumping.

In the beginning I think you will go cross eyed seeing which enfeebs is up and which one is down. When you start playing the job more, it will be easier to pick up your Huton, jutsu, kassatsu, TA, etc. I recommend you play around with your HUD. Moving your target bar, hot bars, and status bar greatly helped me in this.

Another good thing that I saw on reddit was a ninjutsu macro, no not macro'ing in your mudras, but something like /wait19; /echo (soundeffect) Ninjutsu timer is up

Well, to be fair, macroing your Mudra's isn't such a bad idea. Using the /wait1 command will allow people who have trouble remembering the combos to set up mudra combos for the things they need. If you have a modicum of latency though, it breaks the macro regularly lol.

I don't mind so much the colors...

But they need to let us separate out our Debuffs from Allies' Debuffs in the UI.

I know last patch they let us unlink the Buff/Debuff pane...

But it'd be incredible to splice Debuffs into those two categories.

I know.

You can't reposition or resize yours without also doing so to Allies'.

And despite that, it can still be pretty distracting having yours positioned directly in-line with Allies'.

You do realize, people who may be colourblind may not be able to distinguish the colours well.
