Get stuck when trying to create a retainer.

Details:
Everytime I try to create a retainer (my first retainer ever) I go through all the options of going about getting one but when I choose the menu options the NPC choosing one for me or me choosing one myself it goes to a cutscene and gets stuck there. My computer does not freeze as I am able to chat with whoever linkshell, etc.

Steps:
1.Changed graphical settings (was running everything maxed out then went to low settings) problem still persists
2. Traveled to different cities to try and create a retainer, and it still happens.
3. Waited long than 20 minutes for the screen for me to choose my retainer and nothing still happens
4. Waited for patch 1.18a for possible problem fix but still the same thing.

This problem have become verrrry annoying now because I am now unable to sell any of my items I farm for which in return means I cant make any money. To sum it all up I cannot buy any weapons/armor to continue to level up my character, and I dont have any money to repair even my low level items I have eqpt on my now. I really cannot play the game without a retainer... :mad:
