Materia Meld and i110 Level Sync

Now this is a change that makes no sense at all. The old dungeons have a Level Sync to i110. Which means that ALL 120 and 130 gears will be sync to i110. There's also a message that materia will be ignored when Level sync.

The thing is that materia is being ignored even when NOT level sync. I have no gear above i110 and still all my materias from accessories i90 are ignored, this make materia melding and crafting even more useless now.

Yea, I noticed this recently. I had a nexus weapon, so my weapon was i115, but all of the materia from my i90 jewelry wasn't doing anything either. I assumed it must be because it's my weapon. But does it really just ignore all materia regardless of ilvl? That sucks.

Materia is already really limited in its usefulness. Is this absolutely necessary?

Can't the ilvl system just cap the materia bonuses like low level dungeons do?

Yes it render all materia useless. I still dont have my nexus, still my materias are being ignored and I lost all my str and accuracy from my accesories and all the acc from my Wolfram Helm. All this items are just i90. I see no purpose of render all its materia useless. If they keep this thing then people will no overmeld Disciple of War and Magic gears anymore and perhaps not even craft them except for maybe glamour.
